आँखें खोलता हूँ तो कोहराम सा नज़र आता है ,
(as I open my eyes, I see chaos)
आवाजें हैं , दर्द का एहसास है ,
(there are painful voices and experiences all around)
बिखरे हुए सपनों का तूफ़ान सा नज़र आता है ।
(and I see a storm of shattered dreams)
हर नए साल में खुशियाँ हों , उजाले हों हर इंसान में ,
(I wish there is happiness this new year, and joy for everyone)
पर उन आवाजों और सपनों को भी सवारना ,
(but take care of some of those voices and dreams)
बना सको तो एक जीवन को बना लेना तुम ,
(and make an effort to make up someone’s life)
नहीं तो इंसान का भविष्य सूना सा नज़र आता है ।।
(otherwise the future of mankind will be full of emptiness)
